The challenge with this is that they then either knowingly or unknowingly fail to connect or inspire others as a result. With all of the various personalities leaders have to encounter, a shift in their style of leadership may be required to ensure successful interaction. One may not be able to take on the instructional style when having a discussion with the school nurse, the maintenance staff or the secretary. It is important to know how to use varied leadership styles according to one's audience. A leader can be transformational and inspirational at the same time. Looking to transform the learning environment may take inspiring and empowering others in your charge to see the needs, build a desire to effect change within the school and can lead to a collaborative and cohesive group of educators who may take their empowerment and continue on with further efforts to assist in the improvement of the educational setting . Being a leader who knows the individuals they lead and what specific style of leadership to use in various situations will show the leader's capacity to be versatile in order to be an effective and successful administrator.
