I just completed my dissertation entitled, " Perceptions of cyber bullying from secondary school administrators in Texas" and you did EXACTLY what I found that we all need to be doing as educators! We need to create a culture where not only the school personal say bulling is not OK but the students themselves also say bullying is not OK in my school. Video cameras, internet filters, and metal detectors do not stop bullying-people do! Keep up the great work.wolfball33https://www.blogger.com/profile/12860639790348886160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5931834670826653533.post-56679438076561450122011-11-13T09:47:28.918-05:002011-11-13T09:47:28.918-05:00Eric,

Silence enables bullies -- and voices of peers mean more than voices from adults any day.

Good stuff.
BillAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5931834670826653533.post-14395076549205576862011-11-10T20:45:53.507-05:002011-11-10T20:45:53.507-05:00Eric,

I agree that we as educational leaders must build capacity of the dynamic individuals that are making the magic happen in the classrooms on a daily basis. And while outside consultants can be powerful, and certainly have a place in learning, effective PD comes from within. Identifying the strengths of individual staff members is a positive practice that produces long-lasting impact.

Always learning,

Scott

Middle School Principal and bridge builderScott Shawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13665295363335676878noreply@blogger.com
